The Nimbus Dance Summer Intensive offers a transformative training experience for dedicated young dancers seeking to elevate their artistry and technique. Led by School of Nimbus Co-Directors Sarah Lane and Marie Zvosec, this comprehensive program brings together exceptional teachers and seasoned professionals to guide students through an immersive exploration of dance.
This intensive is ideal for passionate dancers ages 12-18 who are committed to growth, eager to learn from professional company repertoire, and ready to be challenged in a supportive environment. Whether you're an intermediate dancer discovering your voice in contemporary movement or an advanced student preparing for a pre-professional career, the Nimbus Dance Summer Intensive offers personalized mentorship, injury prevention education, inspiring artist talks, and world-class instruction designed to help you thrive.
Program Placement: Students will be thoughtfully placed into one or more of the three sessions based on age, experience level, and artistic focus, ensuring each dancer receives training tailored to their developmental stage and goals.
The Nimbus Dance Summer Intensive does not offer a residential program at this time.

Session 1: June 29 - July 3, 2026 (Jersey city, nj)
Session 1 welcomes intermediate dancers to an exciting, modern-forward 1-week Summer Intensive at the Nimbus Arts Center in Jersey City. Led by School of Nimbus Co-Directors Marie Zvosec and Sarah Lane, this dynamic program introduces younger artists to accomplished teachers who provide excellent training in contemporary and modern techniques, while building a strong foundation in classical ballet. Students will expand their movement vocabulary and creative expression as they dive into varied choreography, including repertoire from Nimbus Dance's professional company. Designed to inspire growth and confidence, the Nimbus Dance Summer Intensive features engaging artist talks, injury prevention workshops, and supportive mentorship from experienced professionals—all within an encouraging, vibrant community where every dancer is celebrated and empowered to discover their unique artistic voice.
All Session 1 classes will be held at the Nimbus Arts Center in Jersey City.
Session 2: June 29 - July 10, 2026 (Jersey City, NJ)
Session 2 challenges advanced dancers at a modern-forward 2-week Summer Intensive held at the Nimbus Arts Center in Jersey City. Led by School of Nimbus Co-Directors Marie Zvosec and Sarah Lane, this rigorous program brings together distinguished teachers who deliver high-level training in contemporary and modern dance, complemented by strong classical technique. Students will be pushed to refine their artistry and expand their technical range as they master diverse repertoire, including challenging works from Nimbus Dance's professional company. Strategically crafted for pre-professional development, the Nimbus Dance Summer Intensive also offers thought-provoking artist talks, injury-prevention workshops, and individualized mentorship from industry professionals—all within an ambitious yet nurturing environment that prepares serious dancers for the next stage of their artistic journey.
All Session 2 classes will be held at the Nimbus Arts Center in Jersey City.
Session 3: July 26 - August 8, 2026 (Summit, NJ)
Session 3 invites aspiring dancers to a ballet-forward Summer Intensive held in our new, impeccable studios in Summit, NJ. Led by School of Nimbus Co-Directors Sarah Lane and Marie Zvosec, this immersive program brings together prominent teachers who deliver top-tier training in classical ballet alongside a spectrum of diverse dance genres. Students will be pushed both technically and artistically as they explore a variety of repertoire, including works from Nimbus Dance’s professional company. Thoughtfully designed to nurture growth, the Nimbus Dance Summer Intensive also offers inspiring artist talks, injury prevention workshops, and personalized mentorship from seasoned professionals—all within a passionate, supportive, and welcoming environment that encourages every dancer to thrive.
All Session 3 classes will be held at the beautiful, light-filled Nimbus: Summit (315B Springfield Ave, Summit, NJ)
